Harness Vision monitors horses and provides owners with information on their health and activity in the stall using cameras. The system is based on AI technology and real-time algorithms. It allows the detection of illnesses such as colic (primary equine mortal cause and provides horse owners and stable managers precious information on activity in the stall. Including horse feeding habits, in and outs, temperature, abnormal behavior and suspicious movements. Veterinarians are also in need of these alerts and data so they can provide better care for horses with in-time intervention and adapted treatment.
The innovation relies on the online training of the AI model, using also synthetic images to accelerate training and testing. The AI is firstly trained by 10k tagged images of horses in stalls. Our solution is currently being experimented with thermal cameras to measure the horse-body temperature which is a key parameter of a horse’s well-being.
